How can anyone ever say no to a couple of days relaxing and being pampered in an upscale hotel? Lucky me: during my trip to Tahiti there were lots of great and unique resorts to discover. And here’s a favorite: the Kia Ora Resort & Spa in Rangiora. A little peace of heaven in the middle of a coconut plantation.
After a 22-hour flight from Paris to Papeete, Tahiti we almost immediately had to take another flight to Rangiroa, the largest atoll in the Tuamotus. Needless to say we felt like a couple of zombies when we finally reached our destination, the Hotel Kia Ora Resort & Spa. Ow boy, it was love at first sight!
The resort is surrounded by a coconut plantation, there’s a postcard-perfect beach with white sand and of-course there’s the idyllic turquoise lagoon to admire. Finally found it: paradise! 🙂
Kia Ora has some beautiful overwater villas but we stayed in one of the 60 guest rooms, all with private pools, outdoor spa tubs and a cool patio. True, the Kia Ora is far from a budgethotel but it’s worth every penny and there are special rates available. For more information, check out their website.
I’ve tried to capture the beauty of the place in pictures. Hope you like it.
I stayed in a little private villa with a small garden. And yes, that really is a bathtub in the garden!
The garden with the private bungalows. Some of the bungalows are located on the beach.
And of course there were watervilla’s too.
And if you don’t fancy your now private pool: here’s an infinitive one.
Thanks for linking up with us!! Ohhh man, what is not the lurrrrrve here?
Wow, those are some really nice rooms. I’d love to stay in one of the over-the-water ones.

This place looks gorgeous. Beautiful photos. I like your gallery too; looks light and it opens really nicely. Just got my Canon EOS Rebel t31; hope to start making some good photos too.
Tx Frank. We have a Nikon D9 and a small Canon Ixus (we actually use the Canon more than the Nikon, it’s a surprisingly good camera, especially since it’s really small).
You already take such good pictures! Can’t wait to see what you will do with the new Canon.
So beautiful…
Tx!
