Off the beaten track but definitely worth a visit: Sukhothai, the first capital of Siam and birthplace of Thai civilisation. The region hasn’t been discovered by a lot of tourists yet, but it’s absolutely worth a visit. We visited the historical sites and temple ruins by bike, which was a fab experience. And unforgettable: the temple Wat Si Chum, with its large sitting Buddha. ❤️🥰 . 219 12

Fun thing to do in Catalunya: explore the Ebro Delta and its beautiful wetlands from the water, by kayak. We paddled towards one of the mussel farms that are numerous around here. We stopped at Musclarium, the one with a chill restaurant/lounge. Perfect place to lay back and enjoy fresh oysters and mussels with a glass of cava. 157 2
During our Catalunya road trip we stumbled upon the impressive Castle of Cardona, one of the most important medieval fortress in Catalunya and Spain. Today however it’s a luxury parador/hotel. 125 5
Things that makes us happy while road tripping : dramatic landscapes and vineyards. 163 9
Tarragona, an ancient port city in Catalonia, has it all: Roman ruins, a medieval old town, cathedrals... and street art. A true masterpiece is the mural on Placa dels Sedassos, by Carles Arola. It was completed in 1995 and gives an impression of life in the late 19th century. It is one of the most photographed places in Tarragona. 229 11

Off to the Belgian coast tomorrow and looking forward to it. Meanwhile we’re planning our next big trip somewhere in Asia. On the other hand: wouldn’t mind going back to the Caribbean for some serious island hopping, like we did a couple of years ago. This is a picture we took while visiting St-Barths (or Saint Barthélemy), one of the Leeward Islands in the Caribbean. 137 likes 6 comments

Throwback to a couple was weeks ago, when we were still enjoying an Indian summer and spending a weekend by the sea. Our first stop: watching the shrimp fishermen. Koksijde-Oostduinkerke is the only place in the world where horseback shrimp fishing is practiced. It is UNESCO Worldheritage. 205 likes 16 comments
